Mfg of N Scale Ag Equipment

Doe anyone know of a company that makes N scale detail parts for Ag equipment, sprayers, tractors, implements, etc.

I wish I did, I'd like a bunch of that kind of stuff too. The focus is always on the tractors and not on all the other implements. Back in the day Burt Industries had a line of simplistic and generic tractors and implements (among other things). As I recall they were available in IH red, JD green or Ford blue. Good for "background music" but wouldn't stand up to any macro photography these days. I have a tractor, disc, hay baler, and hay wagon by them. Don't know whatever happened to the company. I'll dig them out and snap a picture tomorrow.

It's definitely a niche waiting to be filled...

Yeah, but the GHQ stuff is either impossible to find or out of production (and a complete PITA to build), and all of the European stuff looks, well, European. Which is of course fine if you're European, but not so if you're modeling US farm country and know the difference. And besides, that "neat" modern Kibri combine is $74.00. Even at mail order for $59, it's outrageously expensive. And European.

 Yes I kind of have to agree,and Burt Industries has been gone for atleast six or seven years, he made some Circus Wagons that I have used on my Col. Carstens Circus Train, and he did some neat much better looking then most of his stuff modern military vehiches  that I have used on flat cars. Years ago I built two white matal combine kits from GB that looked American enough for a flat car load, painted them dark green. Can't recall who the maker was.Nate Goodman (Nato).

There was another outfit making white metal kits less complex(and less detailed) than GHQ, some years back. We might still have a couple in the shop(I'll be there tomorrow night and look). I know the maker is looooong-gone, but I might can give you a name to look for, whereever they might show-up. One of many things nearly impossible in N-scale is farm equiptment(except tractors).

In all fairness, I have seen flatcars in the US loaded with tractors destined for export that did have that "European look". I wish I could remember what brand they were. They were red, as I recall.

I think the original intent of the thread remains valid, though: there's a severe lack of implements.

If they were Red then they were almost certainly Case tractors.  Which used to be International Harvester (and I think they still do make a small amount of equipment under that name which is Blue/Yellow).  And, yeah, they're a very common site loaded on trailers and railcars around the country as they are exported all over.  I guess you could say that they look "European".  But, really, most modern equipment looks very similar.  If you're modeling anytime prior to the last decade or so then, yeah, there was an aesthetic difference between them.

I looked over every nook and cranny in the store and I couldn't find anything but one GHQ havester or whatever. The other ones must be long gone. They have great looking die cast 1/64th farm implement toys, and the pricey 1/48-1/50th die-cast farm equiptment "models", and quite a bit of farm equiptment in HO, priced from reasonable to outragous, but we don't have squat in N-scale. Bad as the vehicle situation. We've got some passable resins, the few Mini-Metals, the dang pricey Athearn trucks, maybe a dozen and a half plastic molded cars including the Busch and Wiking stuff that's higher than Athearn now, and thata-is-thata. I knew when I started in N there wasn't near as much stuff from freight cars to buildings and back as HO, but that was over 25 years ago. We've really had more improvements to rolling stock than more variety(fewer "stand-ins" and better quality) with the possible exception of tankcars and inter-model. Oh yeah, we've got lots of coal gons now, but I really don't want a unit coal train. Half of our club have unit coal trains....115 of the same cars. Sorry, end of rant.

There is the German producer Marks. He has cast models of some old=style farm equipment.
A good dealer is KH. His freight costs are rather reasonable (ordered some stuff and paid give or take 25 bucks freight). Dunno if they speak English though.
If I am not mistaken, there's also a US distributor (forgot the name , sorry).
