I had a bunch when I was in HO . Some were passed to me from a neighbor , old Varney and other stuff from the 50's . Some stuff from my Dad . Some other stuff I loved that I put work onto , but that not really as unique as gifted stuff . When I converted to N in '97 I sold it all , and never looked back .

I have a very few HO left ,

1 HO W&LG Hopper that my Father had and returned when he got too old .
 1 HO W&LG Boxcar I misplaced and didn't get sold .
1 HO UP CA-1 wood caboose ( made from a wood kit ) , this I kept to stick behind a dummy Big Boy for display in the basement .
1 HO Monogram plastic model Big Boy for that CA-1 .
 2 HO Bridges , now N scale tracked .
1 HO brass UP 4-6-0 1242 to keep the dresser from floating away . Recently bought that because I will probably never see that in N and I think it's cute with its slide valves , retired 1955 that way .
1 HO totally hand built model of the house I am writing to you in , been here since the summer of '53 .
1 HO model of a friends trailer and outhouse with some of the property he had , and we stayed in a few times . Did some good old family beer drinkin' and plinkin' on his land in upstate NY , Richfield Springs .

That about it .

Old Varney You Say ! I still have a late 1960's era Plastic Varney Dummy UP F-3 Diesel, with extra red striping added to be correct and yes the HO Varney Aero Train, unfortunately with the unpowered loco, and all the cars factory painted and assembled, execpt for one extra coach built from the undec gray plastic kits. Now waiting for the Con Cor version. Nate Goodman (Nato).

I had that dummy Aerotrain too , got the loco and a few cars at Trainland . They were in their original box's on a top ledge on the wall behind the counter , all dusted up . Many years later Bowser made them and I got a few more cars . This 40 year or so dream of having a decent one is about to be fulfilled at last . Life is good .
