Picasa question

I am trying this Picasa under the advice of Ed and others . It do not drag the photo name with it from My Photos to Picasa , is that normal ? There is a web sharing download , is it good to do ? Risk to me ?

I checked your album and your photos are up there.  The photo name on picasa is always the same as what I upload.  To share the photos here, click on 'link' to this download, set the width dropdown to 800 (or whatever) and click the bottom of the two text boxes.  Copy the contents.  Paste it to the railwire, and delete the 'a' link and 'img' tags so you are left with this: http://lh3.ggpht.com/up1950s/SEMimtEFh3I/AAAAAAAAKmg/fK4hRjM_Gos/s800/longisland.jpg.  Then, add Railwire's image tags around that.

Thanks Tom , I only have one text box , not 2 , and I can't upload pictures to the album anymore . I did get the eMail from them , clicked on the link , and was told my account was activated . ???

Ok I logged off and on and now I can upload . Let me try that download again .

Thanks Tom , that worked better than I hoped for . Will take some time to populate site though . This shrinkable image downloading will save gobs of pre-uploading prep . Me likes .

Yeah, Picasa is awesome.  Best interface, too.  I have about 7 Gigs of images up there.

Incidently, for use here, you don't even need to change the code they give you. Just drop it in.

Thanks , this is the result of the link at 8 inches , then applied to Ed's converter , then pasted here unmodified .

Richie, do what Ed said.  If you are logged in to Picasa, you have the link box.  Paste the entire contents of the second box here.  You don't need the converter tool on this forum.

You need to uncheck the "show link to album" box, but you're almost there.

This is a small shot to begin with , about 4 inches , so thats the size I picked .

Richie,  what do you mean when you say 4 inches?  The sizes are in pixels.

It depends.   I can set my 30" monitor to 800x 600 and then 400 pix would be about 15".
