No, the real question well be: "Can you buy all six Katos for the price of one Overland, or will it only be five?"  ;D ;D ;D

Kato told people they are doing multiple bodyshells, so it's a good bet Kato will be pretty accurate.

Oh, and I bet they run better too!

Hopefully they'll do them in UP and BNSF....  There just aren't enough UP and BNSF releases from Kato...

Kato told people they are doing multiple bodyshells

Kato told people also that they will announce the GEVO and that they have no plans at all to do the ACe...   ;)

...but you're right, they have done several versions/modifications on the SD70MACs in the past (shells, handrails, trucks)
(they did even build the SD70M in two totally different ways, while the UP and NS SD70M version is built the same way as the SD70MAC (walkways and handrails one piece, sill separate) the SP and CSX SD70M are built like the AC4400CW, the new C44-9W and the new SD40-2 (walkway and sill one piece, handrails separate in 3 pieces)

I am very happy that we see the SD70ACe produced from Kato and not from "the fallen flag producer"...   ;)

Lots and lots of little differences, even the different orders of each locomotive have many differences...
however for the masses one could pass for the other (people painted up dash9s as AC4400s for years)
