According to what's just been posted on the Model Railroader website, the Kato GEVO may be a badly kept secret, but that is NOT what Kato has announced! Instead, Kato announced an EMD SD70Ace, and will be doing the UP "fallen flags" schemes for the initial run!

Bet those will be as popular as mouseburgers at a hoot owl picnic!

They told someone I know the EXACT opposite at the N-scale show last week (or so)!

They also told them NOT to expect them to ever do the SD70ACE!

Ed's theory?  ??? The idea that Kato caters to their home market is not a new one. Ed however has been an eloquent proponent of this school of thought.

I'm getting information on bit and pieces of new products.  Does anyone know what Dapol announced for the U.S.

Never Mind.  Just went to their site.  Only had listed a track cleaning car for HO.  However, there is a very odd looking HOn3 steamer listed.  Nothing else for now.

If you look at Kato's poster, there will also be MILW NW-2s coming.

I'm glad they waited so long on the Heritage units, I think I can pass them up.

Hope Kato do plenty of undecs for the ACE, it will be almost sad to strip all those nice heritage units to repaint into my favorite road ;D
