Injection molded chain

Does anyone know where I can find any injection molded chain?  I'm having difficulty actually purchasing real chain that is small enough for my needs.  Maybe on a detail parts sprue for something, etc.  I need it for the end railing on an HOn3 caboose model.

Erik,

Not injection molded but Athabaska makes etched brass chain that should work.

Detail Associates sells packages of blackened "scale" chain - not sure if that will work.

Someone (may be DA??) makes plastic chain to fit between the vertical posts at the end of hood units.

Thanks for the ideas.  I may look into the etched chain.  I have 40 link per inch chain on hand but it seems slightly too big since I'm only using a 1/4" length on each end of the caboose.  I may try the etched chain or use a small segment of brake chain from an HO brake sprue.

I need this sooner rather than later.  I have emailed and PMd Bob at TrainCat several times in the last week or so.  Of the two dealers he has listed on his site I have emailed and called An Affair with Trains and I have emailed, placed an order on their website (which didn't go through), faxed and called Tex N Rails.  I'd like to purchase a pack of the 52 link per inch chain . . . we'll see if I can pull it off.  In the meantime, I'm trying to find another option in case I can't manage to acquire the TrainCat chain.

Check out the nautical model type site.  They have various sized chains for ship models.
