Here we see a couple of my newest additions in the past couple of months. This is a staged shot with Iowa Interstate GP-38-2 #709 and SW1200 #250 pulling a short cut of cars. Pardon the kitchen table, as I don't have a layout of my own yet.

Here is another shot of the switcher just for Lee!!!!

I bought a good quality 50mm macro lens based on advice from Lashedup.  I was concerned with the quality of my photography, and received a lot of help from him.

Those Iowa Interstate engines are nice looking...  If you like I can rent you my photo diorama ;D...

On my layout, the track is installed for the reworked siding at Ohiopyle, but I'm still messing around with powering the frogs and putting in switch machines for the crossover.

This will add significantly to the flexibility and capacity of the layout. In addition to the longer siding supporting longer thru freights, the crossover will allow two shorter trains to be staged, as well as helping the Ohiopyle local crew to make run around moves while switching the industrial tracks.

West end switch. Under the temporary track plan, this is the end of the Connellsville sub. With the longer siding, I'll be able to stage trains to "enter" the layout from this point. The switch to the left will serve an industry.

I still have to finish ballasting and cleaning up from the track gang...

Next project will be to fill the hole in the scenery so I can put in the new industry track.

Rock, those IAIS units look great.  Just add some weathering and they'll look just like the real ones I see here in the Quad Cities every day...

That Z scale station is VERY nice!.
Nothing modeling wise for me. I have not touched the layout for over three weeks.

What IS new is a new railfanning vehicle. The lease was up on my Fusion so I spent all week on a quest for something a bit more economical. Here what I got:

A 2007 Focus ZX3 SES. So far I am very happy with it.

Nothing from me on the picture of layout front.

But..... I am now the owner of a NCE PowerCab DCC system.

ADDed it to the N scale Kato Unitrack Peavine line:

Love those swamp grass islands and Rip rap 3rdrail .

" I've also managed to lose almost 50 lbs. since February, only 140 to go..."

How'd you do that , sell some trains ? ;D

Nope, I got up to 390 and it was killing me, so I quit drinking beer and wine, cut my meal portions in half, and quit snacking. I drink absolutely nothing that has any calories in it, except if I go out to eat, where I'll still have a beer with my meal. When I got married and started work in 1962 I weighed under 200 lbs. and decided to get back to that weight.

It hit me that I never see any fat old men...think about that...

Way to go!! I've lost 30 lbs and have as much to loose as you.  For snacks I've learned ya gotta keep your mouth shut.  I cut out eating at night and I drink water all the time.  I've heard they now say drinking water will not help you loose weight but I think it's true because I'm always full of water.

Keep up the great work, you be glad you did.

I posted my weekend work on the new post I started at http://therailwire.net/smf/index.php/topic,15806.0.html

The fam was out of town, so I spent the weekend in the garage of course.  ;D  I mostly did scenery work.. and tried to get my trestles in place.

I also played around with my new USB interface for my NCE powercab.

Then there was mowing the lawn, working on the jeep, cleaning the garage, etc..  :)

We should just let Chris do all of our scenery and go outside and drink!

Sorry I'm late, but my wife and I just got back from a 5 day celebration of our 25th anniv.

WOW! Criss and David great work on the brass loco and station. both of you did a supreme job.

Before I left, I started to splice the two bridge halves together. It's beginning to look like a 380ft Parker Thru Truss bridge.
