Ed, see if you can get it before the 7th...  Over on SRO Puddington has a boxcar that's literally traveling around the world... Everyone who's had it adds a little something special... weathering, a decal, some graffiti... 



I get it after it comes back from New Zealand and Germany.

Hi Davefoxx,

I think the idea was to do something like have the caboose fall in a turntable pit.

sorta make excuses for the sad state of the caboose.
I was thinking of hiding the caboose behind a pair of locos.
or have it sitting on an abandoned siding....

and If you want it on your layout to proudly wave on the back of a train, I like that too.

It makes you fourth on the list to visit.

I am not sure which  order this may go , as I live in b-more I think I might be able to run up to your place.

unless you are like me and want to avoid in-person visitors...

all for fun and fun for all

Oh, I wasn't exactly thinking of running it proudly.  Rather, I had a different idea, such as the railroad failed to measure the thickness of the paint on the caboose, so it didn't quite make it through Brookville Tunnel while on loan to the C&O.   Interestingly, the prototype Brookville Tunnel was daylighted not too long after the era set on my layout.  Coincidence?  ;D
