Weathering up a storm!

I've been busy weathering cars with the A.I.M. powders and disposable brushes I bought recently. I've done nine recently, the lastest being the two Des Plaines boxcars kits I finished this week.

These definitely aren't Tom Mann quality, but they look good in trains, IMHO.

 









What do y'all think? I spent about 10-20 minutes per car.

Gregg, not bad at all! Compared to what you posted a few years ago, your weathering skills have greatly improved.

Is the whitish stippling effect the result of dull coating the powders?  I've never worked with the powders, and I just wonder how they hold up when sprayed with lacquer.

The wood sheathed cars look terrific.

The "stippling" is the result of moisture in the air at the time those cars were weathered, plus using the dregs of a Dullcote can. But, I like the look!
