I think they're being slightly bulkier comes not just their actual bulk, but the fact they're cast in black. I have no idea how this would effect the moving parts, but a shot of rust or dust or brown grime or even just a matte clear would tone its shiny-ness and make it, IMO, more palatable. It wouldn't hurt if it were cast in a dark brown or rust color.
I second the call for more variances. I like the way these look compared to MTs, which compared to the new coupler look too angular and thin. Though I wish MT would just produce an affordable bulk pack of Z scale couplers, or McHenry would create a Z scale rendition for sale in bulk.
Is there any indication what the pricing will be of these (sans car and trucks I mean)? A low price point could prove to gain my favor even more, as my dollar weakens (thanks GWB).
