So to buy the SP Daylight, you have to pay for the engine consist and cars seperate or together? Or both ways? 499 for the set complete?

They have a "basic" consist and then add-on cars(4 pairs), so you end-up with "18" articulated and seperate cars. It makes sense when you see the whole deal. As much of a ATSF fan as I am, the Morning Daylight may be the nicest set Kato is making. It certainly looks nice on a layout. I'm certain the "quick" second release is related to the slumping economy here. Get 'em outta the warehouse and on the shelves, and out the door. Get people's money while they still have jobs. :o

I saw that on their website, which still takes some time to get used to....  They list the shipments for April as leaving the warehouse o/a the 28th.  One more paycheck before I'm forced to pay my pusher for all three Pacer sets.   ::)

I've been scouring the net for info about possible forthcoming ES44AC's in n scale ... no results. Has anyone heard anything through the grapevine about whether Kato might have such an offering on the way? I'd really love to see an AC6000, but that doesn't seem realistic. The gevo seems more of a live option.

On a wholly unrelated note, where can I find putty or filler for doing body work on a locomotive shell?
