InterMountain seeking input on another steamer.

Understand IMRC has sent an email newsletter out announcing reservations are being taken for the AC12 cab forward, with 4 road numbers and unpainted to be available, with delivery this fall. The most interesting part is it is seeking input on what its second steam locomotive should be!

I could sure go for one of these in N scale:

Don't all trip over yourselves emailing IMRC, now.  ;D ;D ;D

You sure read my mind on that one.  Can't see spending over a grand on the brass I see on Ebay.

Please....please.....please.... NO MORE BIG A@@, 24" CURVES OR LARGER; I GOTTA SPEND $400.00; ONLY THREE ROAD NAMES; CAN'T RUN ON SMALL OR MEDIUM SIZED HOME LAYOUTS WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE THE USS ENTERPRISE LANDED;  UBER-MASSIVE COAL HAULERS............................... ::)

(Oops, did I use my outside voice...? ) ;D

Seriously; Who do we have to bribe for a generic model of the ubiqutous 4-6-0 Ten Wheeler that "runners" can enjoy and "modelers" can customize and "know-it-alls" can slag at their whim.......

The Ten Wheeler was as common as dirt; yet due to a tear in the space - time  continuum we are yet to see one commerically produced in a U.S. or Canadian version.

Personally I am blaming global warming for this however I can't prove it......

Here's a vote for a Ten Wheeler.
Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

To follow up, I think Intermountain needs to restore it's image and get SOMETHING out in the market place (ahem, like my next order of WM F-units... >:() before they start blowing more smoke up our dresses about their big plans for the future.

They're turning into BLI-Junior.

Er, that's a PRR M1a, a 4-8-2 Mountain, not an I1s, a 2-10-0 Decapod...

Or you can roll your own M1...

Much rather see the I1, though...  saw a greater area of service on Pennsy, to include the Anthracite region.

I'm with pudd, no more monsters!

I'd argue one of the later H classes (H8, H9, or H10) would have the widest appeal. PRR had more of them than NS has Dash9s!

I'm also with Lee. I'd like to see IMRC do SOMETHING new that doesn't suck. Fs would be a good place to start.

Actually if they did anything in WM I'm much prefer their 2-10-0 decs.  If I'm not mistaken, I think they were the largest 2-10-0's in America.

I knew that. It was an utterly failed attempt at humor, to see what kinds of parallels folks might draw between the two companies--blame it on the controlled substances I'm taking at the moment for pain management.

I wouldn't be interested in a PRR loco anyway--not my road of choice. Myself, I'd be interested in something along the lines of this:

Hey, I'd go for a couple of those CNJ 4-8-0's, too!!  8) 8)

Hmmm... can i say Canadian Pacific Hudson please?
Or perhaps a Milwaukee Northern (which would be close for NYC & D&H)
Swimming in a sea of Action Red...
