Is using real spent nuclear fuel rods in this one?

That would be a first!

Why are Micro-Trains cars so valuable again?

Because ALOT of people want them. Why is a Black Queen Victoria stamp worth so much? It's just a less than 1/2" square of paper about 150 years old. Name me any three other N-scale freight car companies that have 105 body styles. To do the "real" cars, they support their business with the "collectables". Makes perfectly good sense to me. Ford does the same thing with the Shelby Mustangs. Without them, they never could have afforded to re-tool and re-design the Mustang. GM loses money on every H2 Hummer they build, according to their corporate report this year. So why do they build the Hummer H3? Maybe they make money on them, do ya' think?

Now Ed, be honest. MT makes alot of prototypically correct cars, maybe not in your roads, but they do. Hey the scale test car is prototypical for about 99% of all class 1 railroads. Don't throw out the baby with the bath-water. I understand your gripe...but you have to admit nobody else does some of the cars MT does, and does very well too. It ain't a perfect world, so get used to it and save getting ulcers over it.

My gripe is that if you are going to do a prototypical car, do one. Don't tell me a PS1 is a Canadian Newsprint car.

Anybody ship that stuff in a normal boxcar would have their head and a$$ handed to them in a split second.
Here's some good info and photos of how it's shipped:

If you see those cars, no wonder people make fun of our hobby.

ah... my Auto VEYOR's are still sitting on the bottom shelf waiting for decals to Un-Micro Train them...

Honestly for a company with so much potential, Micro Trains is disappointing.

Hey, Chuck! Ricky from Challenger in Tussa, Okra-homer! How you doing? If Richard doesn't order the new 86' boxcars, I might be needing a Chuck-Pack. 8)
