Quick building software

Good Morning,

Has anyone used this software to create buildings for your layout?  It looks like a great way to create several buildings and background buildings. I'm thinking I can use photos I have for my layout and make buildings that don't exist in kit form.

Looks pretty cool.  I'm using my architectural design program to layout plans for structures.  I draw them to 1:1 dimensions, then scale them down accordingly.  Here's a work in progress...

The program enables me to detail things out so I can replicate how the building is constructed.

I'm currently working on a roundhouse, which I hope to finish one day...

Here's the only project I've completed using this method

There are a few building software programs out there. In the "good ole days", cardstock buildings were very common and can be made to look like a "real" kit by adding doors, windows, and 3-D details. I've seen some very fine cardstock buildings in contests I've helped judge. Some have won 1st place. For background flats, you sure can't beat the cost. Using a 'puter printer saves lots of time and effort too, and many look very good. Depending on you, is mostly how good they'll look. Not a bad thing for modeling.

Heh, not by a long shot!  But it sure is fun!
It's also nice because when I'm not screwing around with train projects I can actually make money with it!

Hmm, I have chief too.. but I'm no expert.  Are you able to do scaled down designs, Lee?  To print out in N scale?
