it seems i spend more of my time reading crap on the internet than doing trains, electronic music, or ham radio - all pursuits i used to be involved in before the time bandits arrived - how do i get back to running trains and not reading about other's having fun.

Nah I'll just read about it later!

Seriously, if it weren't for the several thousand miles between us I'd be there.

since i can't do anything in my current sea of hobbies, i'm adding one more to the list.  yes, i would like to have bees - attack bees like the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz.  that would be so cool.

i just need to move my wife's office so i can get back to working on the layout, but that means i have to deal with 400 others things first.  i f we had only bought the other house with the MASSIVE basement...

TELL me about it.. those NEW houses have dream basements in every single one!  Now ask me if we bought a new house? ;)

we're in a split level with NO basement.  So, I decided to compromise for now, and build a small shelf layout in the office :)

would that be feasable for you too?

i'm in a split level (our first and last one of these things - totally hate it).  i started working on my layout and decided it would work better (not conflicting with the sliding glass door or laundry room access) by swapping places with my wife's office area nook.  i just need to move all her crap out of the way, move my layout, and then put her crap where the layout was.  then i have to install a network connection so she can have access to the interwebs.

i need to do this when i'm the only party in the house - and it looks like Easter will be when this transpires...  then i can get the layout completed and start running trains and cutting holes in the walls (she don't know about that part yet, shhhh!).
