I've found that I see things that other's claim to be invisible to the naked eye.

Don't you have to go see a doctor when that happens? Or start writing for a UFO magazine? Frank

Yeah I guess I should just cave in and join in the chorus of eagle eyed folks that tell me I don't notice pizza cutter wheels or HO size rails on N scale track. Just call me Dr. J. Allen Hynek ...

I spent the weekend re-doing the Smurftastic car.

The first attempt was essentially a scaling of the photograph, so I redrew the artwork to remove most JPG artifacts.  Now, I have artwork that should scale to HO (hint).

No InkJet on the market has the option of waterproof inks.  The HP Vivera inks come close, but they require HP paper to be truly waterproof.  I have an HP a617 photoprinter that claims 4800x1200dpi resolution, so I decided to use that with Krylon Matte finish to protect the ink from water.  The result is a decal that has much finer dots and overall looks crisper, but is difficult to work with.  if the protectant breaks, then the entire decal washes away. ;D

So I have something that looks better.  I'll redo the weathering and post photos this week.

Stay cool and spend model railroading time redrawing clouds on a smurf graffiti decal... 8) 8)

Good catch...I forgot to copy that layer when i duplicated the group for printing, so 1/2 of the decals do not have clouds. ;)
