Okay, so I'm slumming it over at the MR board, and I read a post by Vollmer declaring that he had a free-lance Johnstown and Broad Top railroad with custom lettered hoppers.

I demand one of these cars for interchange with the nearby Laurel Valley (Latrobe - Somerset - Rockwood Jct.)

I offer as compensation a Laurel Valley hopper...

Who else has a fleet of home road goodness?

I have a home road and a leasing company. It won't work for you though as you model that little stuff, and I run "real" trains.. hehehe...

My Homeroad is the "Southern Huntingdon Interchange and Transfer RR" (AAR: *****)
and my leasing co. is RM Swinnerton Leasing (AAR: RMSX)

The SHI&T is a shortline based outside of Huntingdon, PA, and the leasing company leases grain hoppers and boxcars.
I'll send some pics when I get some.

Actually, the slogan was "Another load down the commode", but it was changed after someone complained to "Your freight just keeps going 'round and 'round" -- Needless to say, the corperate color is oxide red..lol

Also had a local transit company

"Fulton Area Rapid Transit"
The slogan was "Gone like a train in the wind"

I may have to re-incarnate that one with the Athearn bi-level commuter cars...;)

Lee, it sounds like you need some Haggis reefers!

I've a couple of hoppers lettered for Phil Brook's Clinch River.

Well, I have a private road, the Pittsburgh, Ohio Valley & Cincinnati (POVC)...

Unfortunately I don't have anything complete in that paint scheme to interchange yet, but I do have about a dozen undec Atlas 90t hoppers waiting at the paint shop for management to get off their a$$ and finalize the the details.

all my private road stuff is in HO.  now that i am ripping out the N scale layout, I might do up an HO shelf diorama to display it.

WTF?  What's wrong with your shelf layout?  Are you leaving N or just changing track plans?
