Blue Bonnets.. Yellow Bonnetts......I see IMRC has released several different Sante Fe schemes.
Not being a modeler of ATSF, can someone explain the different schemes, such as the Bonnetts ?  When were these used and did the different schemes mean a type of service or what ?   :)

I know there were only two yellowbonnets, used in passenger service for Amtrak, one assigned to California, and the other to the Texas lines.

I'm an ATSF modeler but even I don't completely get it. I think the blue bonnet is the post 1972 scheme

Like this.

Yellowbonnets were only F7s, being in a modified Super Chief scheme; I've heard Bluebonnets for two things, the modified paint scheme on the F7s with the blue Super Chief style, along with the above pictured scheme.

Could be worse. It could combine competition orange, with British racing green. BNSF really needs to stop letting Color Blind Carl paint their motive motive power....
