More engine kits!

Canadian fans will love this company. They teamed up with Kaslo to produce multiple versions of several Canadian engines.

I am ordering a few M420s. I really hope some custom builders and hobby shops also oder these kits. We really need some of the covered wagons and MLW engines out there.

I am not affiliated, I just want to see the 5-6 kits I pre-ordered get into production.

Here is the M420:

he is making N scale,

However unfortunately I don't think these will come to fruition he is not Advertising these kits enough (at all) to get the preorders he needs.

I preordered mine about a year ago this time and the numbers of units reserved haven't changed much since then (some locomotive I'm the only one who has bitten  :()

It would be awesome to see these Canadian Locomotives made however (so get on the horn and tell everyone about this! :))

I ordered mine about a year ago as well. Not worried about having to plunk the dough down for them anytime soon.

I want the GP40-2L and GP40-2W. Think I'll have to figureout my order, it could be large.

And the SD40-2W. And the GP38-2W. And the CP SD40-2.

Edit: It'd be nice if they listed expected pricing. Hard to pre-order with no idea of the cost...

I was told by the owner they'd be in the 75-100$ range for the shells more for the frame (HR616 only)

Pretty big variance. If I pre-order 10 GP40-2L's, they could cost between $750 and $1000. It'd be nice to get a more firm price... or at least a closer variance.

Am I the only one out there that wants a fleet of these?

Considering It's Kaslo, looking at their past releases with Grant Eastman & others might give a better Idea.
I'm not that worried about cost, I stopped holding my breath on these a long time ago.

This would be a great locomotive to be done by one of the larger Mfgs, with all the second hand units on US Railroads, I doubt your the only person that wants one (now a buddy of mine Wants HR616's, there's a lost cause ;))

M4D has not introduced anything in a year and will not even design or introduce products unless the dollar rises. Since we are in a recesion, I doubt thats any time soon. I think he gave up on the model market after slow sales. It sucks because I want several GP15-1 kits and don't mind paying more for them.

We haven't given up on the model market, just changed focus. We tend to more design and master for others these days. Some of the new Atlas products were designed by us, we are mastering for Kaslo, we are working on N scale locomotive kits for the Australian market and on S and TT scale for our local market and on expanding the range of US Z scale freight cars. The currency issue is real and is a combination of a weak US dollar and high interest rates locally, driving up the NZD.

Expect to see GP16 and GP7u conversion kits in N within the next 2 months. We are also seriously considering Pullman Standard 86 foot boxcars in resin/etched stainless steel.

If the GP16 may be profitable, why not release the GP15-1 hoods and whatever else you have of the kits? I know I sound desperate, but I am. The JNJ shells suck and M4D seems the only company on the planet interested in it.... unless you are pulling it because you know someone else may have it in the pipeline?
