You guys are a freakin' hoot!  :D

Construction "ceased" because the layout will be "coming down". But it's not yet, so I can't say it is "coming down" (present tense), but construction did, in fact, "cease" (past tense). Geez!

No health issue involved, but it is "prudent" for me to not get into specifics until all involved parties have played their hands!  ;)

Sounds to me like too many "Philadelphia lawyers" are involved. I think I see where Jerry's coming from, as after all he lacks the anonymity others who trash products on the internet have, considering he runs the premier PRR website on the internet.

I'll offer this though. If the whole problem is over track, change brands, don't give up on N scale.

Too many folks giving up on N lately, IMHO.  :(

I had that thought too...  Jerry hasn't minced words with PCM, even though he deals their products through his store.  It would stand to reason PCM's good at the legal game (since producing N scale model railroad products clearly isn't their game).    But until Jerry's ready to spill the beans... :-X

I thought I had made it clear... it had nothing to do with PCM. But when I considered my "post decision" options about the layout, the fact that PCM isn't delivering contributed (as a partial factor only) to the further decision to divest of N scale.

Believe me, PCM isn't worthy of that much of a part in a decision of this magnitude!

Folks, there seems to be something really serious going on here. Give the man some space. I'm sure he'll give us more info in due time. Frank

Okay, Jerry, fair enough...  Sorry for being so nosey!  I attribute it to having worked with the intelligence community in the past...

Now you've really set the expectation pretty high!  Maybe you're turning your basement into a microbrewery...!

Jerry,

Keep your space.  ;)

FWIW though, if you make such a public announcement with a mystery element, could you possibly expect no conjecture?

Actually, I don't see you really objecting to the conjecture, so you must have already thought this through. 8)

Good luck in whatever the new thing is! (unless it involves joining a cult or something silly like that)

Mark

Well,
I went through all of my trackworks and checked each of the frogs. They did not look like they were Made In The USA. Here Look for yourself.

Damn Foriegn Frogs!

If Jerry got a basement of these, I would not blame him a bit for getting out of model railroading.

My layout is not on a door. It is slightly larger.

that's what you get for trying to use N scale like it were HO  8) (ducks)

I work with the "intelligence community" now. They have the best gig going...they only have to be half right 50% of the time!

Not as good as a weather forcaster.  They don't have to be correct anytime.

So this month's TKM came and went.  No Jerry news.  Guess the mystery continues!
