Can you imagine today that one Class I sponsors a steam excursion and another Class I puts a couple of its locomotives on display at the destination for fans riding the excursion? Well, Canadian National did that at Portland, ME, in 1956, for riders of the last steam passenger train into Portland on the B&M.

Had to run down to New England Southern to do some work in the yard. Loaded up 19 relay ties to get out of the yard and then cleared brush on 2 of the sidings in Concord Yard. Then we blocked out some cars that will need to be delivered next week. Pending if there is any more snow by the end of the month, I'll have to clean switches again!

Good thing they always seem to pull out of town at lunch time!
