This week, a couple of shots taken at the Canadian National's Montreal engine terminal on August 5, 1956:

A Mikado, number unreadable, awaits assignment near sunset:

Ten-Wheeler No. 1360 takes a spin on the Turcot turntable:

Next week is Thanksgiving and I'll be away from my computer, so see y'all on the 29th.

Maryland and Delaware RS3m on 11/14/07

MDDE RS3m 1202 begins her day early on a very foggy Eastern Shore morning. The fog was thick as it got underway.  Love that 5 chime horn overtop the engineer's head!

Part 3 of trip to NY and the D&H.
A PC train arrived while waiting for the PA's to show up.

Here's some equipment that was on display and other goodies:

During a NKPH&TS meet at Bellevue, OH in 1984 we toured the loco service shop.
Changing out traction motors perhaps.

An old NKP warrior from their GP30 fleet.

They should have painted all the N&W fleet like this rather than the black dip job.

We also toured the hump tower but no photos were allowed from the tower.  We could take all we wanted elsewhere though.  The slugs were x FM Trainmaster frames IIRC.

Gator time down under - this is a one off which was rebuilt from an Alco hood unit around a decade ago. It has gained a new lease of life in recent years with Patrick Portlink which runs rural intermodal services. It has spent nearly all its working life in New South Wales, but recently headed over to Adelaide to cover for loco failures. I took these on Wednesday - today the train was involved in a double fatality at a level crossing although 103 was the trailing unit.
