Product Idea for BLMA

Here's a product I would like to get. I guess you could call
them "Ghetto Grills". I need about a dozen of them right now.
It would make a nice etched part to put on the F40.

Jon, how thick (cross-section) are the bars of those grilles on the prototype?    The look like way less than one inch, but one inch in N scale is only ~  0.006".   So it seems that these might be too narrow to etch, unless you used a *very* thin metal -- but that would also give you an extremely delicate part.

Great suggestions guys!  Sorry about the delay in my reply; we're in Milwaukee for Trainfest and things have been busy at best!  (We've got new announcements coming!)

Anyway...  The horns are a great idea and something we've all needed for a long time.  I'll see what I can do early in '08 during my trip to China.  I can't make any promises, but these are on the consideration list...

Sounds great Craig - again, I think this could be a simple, easy to use product
that would get a lot of people to replace the stupid horns that come with
every Kato/Atlas loco out there...

How about a set of feet in workboots like you see so often at the front windsheild of safety cab locomotives on the conductor's side?

Would
an etched roofwalk do the trick?  Way back when (HO days) I built a SP GP38-2 snowfighter and used etched walkway material for the icicle protection grates.  Worked sort of well giving a right impression but not completely accurate if that is where you are going.  The tiny slots would not really scale down allthat well in my mind...
