Rust 'em up a bit , and add them to a junk yard . Or block out the name and apply a second owners name with the first owners paint scheme .

Beautiful looking trucks and they fit my time period.  But, and a big but, at around $10.00 per truck I think I'll wait.  Little too expensive for 1 truck in N.

These come 2 per pack , and the price can be gotten less than posted . so consider them around 6 bucks per truck .

The 1954 Ford PRR pickup drives to the PRRT&HS annual meeting every year and has done so for a couple of decades! So, you can have it on a contemporary layout. IIRC it is lettered as based in Choptank, MD, on the Eastern Shore.

Can someone direct me to some archive proto pics of what the F700 might look like?

Thanks, Wes

Bryan over on the Atlas forum thread on the CMW realeases which was first brought to my attention by  daniel_leavitt2000 , has a eBay item number with more shots of a 1954 Ford F-700 , eBay item number is 6619989837

Only the Ford C (Athearn), which started in 1957 IIRC.

I talked to John Engstrom of Athearn about producing the Ford F-850 (1961-67) in N scale.  The chances of getting the fire truck version are slim to none; however, the grain bed version might be a real possibility.  I gave him some prototype photos of an F-850 with a flat bed, and photos of a couple of Ford C trucks with grain beds.

You can also call the Athearn F-850 a 1968-69, that is if you ignore or remove the Ford badges on the side of the hood.  A correct 1967-69 badge could be fabricated, but you would probably have to use a microscope.   ;)

one thing that really gets under my skin about the CMW cars is that the pairs come in the same color. :-X

odds are slim in my little town that cars would be bought in pairs in the same color.

So I plan to round up all the clones (the 2nds) and sell them off on Ebay. ::)

Older CMW packs came with 2 different colored cars. When did they change?
