Welcome to TRW!  While I now live in Hockessin, Delaware, my parents resided in Aberdeen when I was born.  My little brother now lives in Forest Hill, so I’m cruising up and down Route 1 every now and then.  Good to see another one for the Maryland team.

Hello all,
My name is Alberto and I live in Spain. I´ve always been interested in modelrailroading. My first train was a Marklin HO trainset which I got as a Xmas present when I was around 14. Year by year, that trainset grew up to become a fully decorated 4mts X 2mts temporary floor layout which I used to build every year at Xmas in my parent´s home although I didn´t live there since I got married. When my father died in 2005 I stopped building that layout and I abandoned HO scaling. By then, I had been married for six years and as I lived (and still live) in a very small apartment I took the decision of starting a new small layout (70cms X 90cms). I chose N scale to take advantage of the little space I had. I´ve always been interested in American trains so I decided to run American models on my new N scale layout. It´s neither easy nor cheap to buy American trains here in Spain but little by little I ´ve got a small collection of 15 locomotives, 23 freight cars and 6 passenger coaches.
On the other hand I´ve got some O scale stuff and three or four times a year I build a floor layout in the middle of the living room. You can see some videos of all these trains in my You Tube channel called Albersala.
I´m not sure whether I´ll be able to participate much in this forum because I feel I have more to learn than to teach but who knows...

Welcome to the Railwire Alberto!
It doesn't matter how large your layout is and what scale you chose - the important thing is that you are having fun. This forum is generally N-scale-centric, but we also have some members modeling in other scales, and also narrow gauge. A little bit of everything.

Your English is very good.   In fact, it is much better than some native English speakers I see posting (on other forums).

Not a new introduction, but a re-introduction!  I have been out of the hobby for about 6 years due to raising a young family and moving.  Finally am settled down, the kids are older, and am starting a new N-scale layout this summer.  I used to post here frequently, but just did not have time.  Look forward to being with everyone again!

I hope your brother does well with the bar. That´s an area with a lot of tourism and you can make a good living if you do it well.

Alberto,
 I was in San Sebastion and Logrono last summer. It is very beautiful there and the wine a food are to die for.  My wife and I loved our time in Spain and hope to visit again in the future.
