The recent ExactRail Evans boxcar in HO scale would be a match for these two cars with some slight modification to the side sill.

Chris-are you sure on that? from what I can see of the model pics they show these as Plate C
cars, while the USRE cars are all Plate B cars from what I've found. It'd take some cutting to make
them the correct height. As far as I know, the only Plate B models that could be a Railbox is the old
Athearn BB model, which has the incorrect roof & too wide for starters, & the Intermountain PS
undec with the Superior door (that a good chunk of got patched for BN)

I could be wrong, & will listen to otherwise (you've corrected me before on some things Chris  ;D) as
I've wanted to do one of these cars for several years, as well as the Golden Tye kit RBOX (2000
something series)
Mitch
They're not "Crown Victorias"-they're known
as "Police Interceptors"

Nope, I could in fact be wrong on that. If they're plate Bs, then it wouldn't be an exact match, but except for the height difference it's really the only similar stand-in.

The old Athearn Blue-Box "RailBox Boxcar" is an ACF car. A diagonal panel roof would be correct for that prototype but the detail and dimensions in general of that old thing are totally hosed. It's a 30 year old model and really shows its age.
