I started off with some plans published in the NGSLG for a small whistlestop that I wanted to build for my N-Scale layout
and after taking a little "modeler's license", I ended up with this

I also love the roof. When I was a small boy my family lived in a house with a tin roof which looked alot like the one you did. Also has tin siding which was a red color.
