Got started with handlaid Code 25 Z scale track. This represents a change in plan also.

Actually, AFAIK Tom is the first person to post pictures of handlaid Code 25 track other than myself, because I had the wire custom-made for my own handlaid track in N and Z. There are a number of pictures as well as details on the process of handlaying the rail here:

I'm pretty sure I'm the first to use Code 25; however, a number of modelers in Europe use Code 30 flat wire for handlaid track (2mm Society: ). I received a sample of the wire from one of them and it's nearly identical.

I'm always interested in this stuff as i used to scratch build C40 turnouts from rails and ties "back in the day".
