CR 2236 Roster Shots

I just took some photos of this that I finished last month.

The model was an Atlas one that I added some CR specific details to: the cab signal box on the front walkway, and the sinclair radio antennas. I also moved the horns, but chickened out when it came to the remains of the train phone brackets.

Thats some fancy detail painting the fuel thingys and the silvering on the window frames . The subtle smudginess is very well done as well  .

Ed, good looking GP30.  The 2198 is at New Hope and Ivyland and I always liked running that engine.  Lots of the conrail blue is wearing through around the steps and grabs.  I love that horn mounting location.

Thanks guys!

Scott, that's awesome, maybe someday there will be an OPERATING GP30 that the CRHS can grab. I can dream, eh?

Will the 2236 be hauling revenue in Cambridge in about a month???

Brian, 2236 will definitely be working Ridgely Yard next month.  I installed an NCE (my first NCE chip) just for that  purpose. Curiously though, it runs backwards compared to everything else on DC. I bet it has something to do with the chip being designed for LHF GP9s.

And yeah Mr.Hump, I've got one of those too. Too bad its missing cab windows (and DCC).

If only I knew a source for RS3 cab glass, I'd be in much better shape.

WOW.  Didn't know Conrail had so many talented followers.  Great RS3.

If I can get a new blade for my band saw, I can slice and dice that RS frame for a decoder... ;D

I need to get one soon.  I have a GP chassis that needs fixin' for a chopnose, and a new SD45 that needs a brain.

The geep looks real good, but since you raised such a fuss about those damn brackets, it looks naked without them. ;)
