Truly masterful work. And to top it off, he had the patience to document it at such an enlightening level of granularity. I appreciate most how he freely mixes brass and styrene (and some other materials), taking best advantage of each.

I first painted the jacket silver.  Actually, Poly Scale Stainless Steel,
but I don't imagine the exact species of silver matters too much.  If I
recall, I gave this a little buffing before the next coats.  The next coat
was a 1:3 glaze of D&H Avon Blue, which is a nice bright blue (again, I

especially if your airbrush wants to clog like mine did, and you have to

Glaze usually means diluted with a clear medium. The glaze might be glossy, to add a sheen, or non-glossy, to reduce the intensity of the paint. He provides the ratios of paint to glaze medium.
