spent the afternoon modifying the old benchwork and building the new section.  busy weekend.





i'm looking to have the track in place in the next week or so - gotto have the bulk of the work completed before the newborn arrives in October.

That Layout height looks just right for you. You might need a stool to reach the back though ;D. We just had baby number four this week, and although my wife doesn't know just yet, I'm starting a switching layout in the next couple weeks. Good luck on getting what you need done and good luck with the new one as well.

the bulk of the track has been laid  and trains are running.  it was a productive day...

lawn mowed - check
run to Home Depot - check
20 mile bike ride - check
cooked dinner on the grill - check
took family for ice cream - check
laid most of layout trackwork - check

now i'm listening to some Pink Floyd and Alan Parsons Project drinking a fine malt beverage.

life is good...
