Just noticed that 4Nscale.com is taking orders for Overland Brass Genset Switchers for anyone thats interested.  Too new for me and probably too expensive to boot.  Have been reading various post from individuals requesting this unit.

Do people really pre-order when the price states TBD?
Now seeking Pacific NW N scalers to create a Modutrak-style modular club featuring NP's shared mainline between Seattle and Portland. PM me if interested.

As J. Pierpont Morgan once stated: "If you have to ask the price, you probably can't afford it".

Seriously, the recent "Little Joe" was about $700 at BLW. Figure it from there for a somewhat smaller model. Frank

I haven't, but yes, people do reserve brass models, price unknown. Some years ago, it was even required to put up a deposit, usually, but not always, refundable if the model did not receive enough reservations. It was not referred to as pre-ordering, though, but as reserving. "Pre-ordering" is about as ungainly a creation as "doable".  :P
