And a couple of willing accomplices with strong backs and weak minds...

Not sure when this was removed from service (it protected the swing bridge visible in the background) but the new signal appears to have some weather on it already.  Probably done within the last year.

So, anyone need some ambiance in the train room?

I know of many items I could acquire  ::) including a bunch of old Erie signals. I stopped at a glass insulator from the Mainline though.

Thanks Lee,
Do you have any pics of the control tower?

Somewhere in my vast pile of photos, I have a shot or two of Cassatt, which has a tower at the river bank.  This one appears to be controlled from a booth on the bridge itself.

I don't see a raft, or any kind of conveyance to get from the shore to the steps, so it may be operated remotely from the station building that sits nearby.

The CSX is replacing their old position light signals westward on the old B&O main through
Northern Ohio-may be worth an inquiry w/them.

Chris, this is what I know (not much) on how things are going-this was
as of late March:

CSX is working of Phase 4 of 5 of the New Castle Sub
resignalling plan.

Phase 1: New Castle to West End Newton Falls
Phase 2: West End Newton Falls to BD Tower (DONE)
Phase 3: BD Tower to Not
Phase 4: Not to Homerville
Phase 5: Homerville to Greenwich

As far as we're told...there will be new signals west
of Not to Homerville soon.

They skipped Phase 1 and 3 for now.

I'll try to find out more from those "in the know" maybe
this weekend. Stay tuned.
