Chris333, you photo etched that tender? If so, outstanding! How about the trucks?
Kiwi-al, did you make a master of the FM and cast 'em in resin? lv4142003

Is it not nice, finally people realize N needs some good looking signals.

Thanks Bob (traincat2)
Will the signal with the three lights be available individually?

Howdy All!!, I have not posted here in awhile, so here goes!!!

Love all the pics.... specially the SOO loco,,,,,,, great job!!!!

Being in the model railroad hobby we are fourtunate to meet other modelers and make some great freindships.

One of the freindships has afforded me the chance to work on Rossford Yard's ( Jeff Brauer) layout. He has relocated the layout to a garage where he lives now.

I had a week off before I had to start my new job at Caterpillar work tools division in Waco, Tx.  The plants makes all  the excavator buckets for the north American area,,, and some for central and south America.

You know we live in a great world, where else can you work on model trains, have fun, and use your many skills, and the one I am most proud of is being a top-notch carpenter I was able to put forth efforts that I am proud with. All the while making a paycheck also.... WOO HOOO!!!!!!

Here are some pics where I have been working on benchwork,,, backdrops, fasica, and valance. I also did the wiring of the lighting fixtures that use a T-8 daylight bulb. There is also storage above the layout that I built before working on the layout.

I have enjoyed my time working on the layout... seeing as I am starting my new job with Caterpillar,, This was a nice way to enjoy freindship and make some extra money as I stated above.

A huge thank you goes out to Jeff Brauer " Rossford Yard" for being Railroad Model Creations first customer. In retro-spect,, I should have cleaned off the layout first,, before taking the pics!!LOLOLOL

  Adios WYT

Very nice work, Wyatt...  That's going to look first class after the fascias are painted and some scenery is installed.

All of my signal towers/bridges come with two of each (single, double, triple) target.

Wyatt, VERY Nice!! A professional job you can indeed be proud of.

Ok it may be Monday, but here's some SD50's coming thru Coal Fork Jct. on my Allegheny & Cumberland. Over the weekend, I finished installing lighting underneath the 3rd level to give the 2nd level a better perspective....

Nah dude, it's CSX, they don't believe in it.

In all seriousness, ODF, your layout looks really cool. I'd love to see more of it.

I toyed with a Proof-of-Concept model.  Working headlights and dashlights in an Atlas LMT-9000 (Ford), with the only exposed parts being the wires....

Since it was  PoC model, all fiber optic strands and the LED remain unpainted.  If this were a finished model, it would look much better.  There also wouldn't be any light leaks or bleed through as you can see in the last pic.

Mr Outdoorsfellar,

What are you using for lighting under the top deck?

Wow ODF, cool stuff.

Now, here's a question? When are you just going to realize you're a Conrail modeler at heart and give up all those CSX pretensions  ;D

Conrail modeler at heart ?? I'd like to think so I suppose, but with my fleet of Pennsy's as well all the other pretty colors that roam the mountains, I just can't make up my mind  !    lol

As for the lighting underneath, I go to Wallyworld & buy the 40 watt under the cabinet lighting strips that can add on to one another.
