hey kluke,
check this site out... they've got a bunch of info on there which came from, if i'm not mistaken, the yahoo modern freight car list group and other similar groups... a lot of the cars have a rating 1-7, though i didn't see anything for any of the 40 footers...
my buddy just bought one of the hi tech cars and was impressed with the detail... this is a guy that's used to buying blue box stuff though, but its not anything that couldn't be easily remedied with a little work and a few parts... there is also an article in railroad model journal if i'm not mistaken this month regarding these cars and super detailing them...

The Hi-Tech details Hy-cube is nice. It is on the list linked above, notice the Plate F clearance note, and a link to a photo at Walthers.
