Been done-long ago by Rowa, and RivaRossi.  Con-Cor might still have some shells-you could drop one on the LL mechanism

different lead trucks, different tender .... for starters

Rivarossi also did them in HO ages ago. Didn't stop new ones from coming out recently. ;)

From my favorite would be N scale powerhouse:

I really like the look of that HO version . I hope they use that same tender on the N scale one .



The copy says "Railroad-Specific Details'

I hope that means we get the tender in the photo - it would make a great starting point for an N&W S1 (ex-C&O):
