I bought this old Arnold 8x'* car from Steve (SAH) a few weeks ago.  I was delighted to see it almost match a Milwaukee car!  I just needed to file down the sill a little bit.  Lowering it was a challenge:  think Euro n-scale flanges combined with an already high ride height.  I stripped it from it's original chessie blue and made my own decals for MILW, using the Morning Sun MILW book as a guide.  I shaved off the grabs and added BLMA 18" drop grabs - 16 in total.  The stirrups are BLMA parts.



Weathering is with only two colors:  Burnt Umber and Ivory Black.

*it is short for an 86 footer, I think it scales out to 82 feet or something.

Looks super , but given the weathering on the roof and sides , would that end walkway be so clean lookin' ?

Very well done Tom.  Gets me itchin' to play with the acrylics for weathering.  Another good example of an old shell that makes an excellent model with some effort.  You done better with it than I woulda'.
