I seem to be a little slow and can not get the damn shell off... Right out of the new box the unit is shorting out so I need to take a look inside and get a decoder installed.

Also anyone know if you can get the pilots as replacement parts? I broke them both, and there are no parts numbers listed for them on the parts sheet or Katos website.
I WANNA SEE THE BOAT MOVIE!

Yes... I'm in N... Also HO and 1:1

You have to put a toothpick in the right front & left rear,or visa versa, to release the shell.

BE CAREFUL!!! If you do not release the shell correctly, you will break tabs inside, which means the shell will not latch on when you replace the shell.  It'll sit properly but not latch.  Ask me how I know.

It helps if you are a kiwi ;) and yes it's on the Atlas forum. The procedure works.

I'm glad we're still getting mileage out of that one.
