Get the remainer of my trackwork down and wired, do some scenery, and build a few more locos.  ;D

I have a lot of non-MRR-related goals as well - not always as much fun.  :(

I want to get my switching layout set up again, get the track painted, and start the scenery.

Actually, first I want to build a few scenery modules, so I know what I'm doing before I muck up my layout.

I also want to spend a whole crapload of money on 86' auto parts boxcars, high-capacity plastic pellet hoppers, and C40-8Ws. If only a manufacturer wanted to take my money...  :'(

I think the first thing I want to do is weather my D&TS auto parts boxcar and my GTW autorack, as I've been wanting to do those projects for a long time.

Sadly, all of this must come after I finish a pair of cabooses and 6 containers in various BNSF schemes for a customer...

Get moved into my new home. Put up the extension on the layout the CFO (wife) authorized. Assemble all the steel mill stuff I got for Christmas. (I guess you have a pretty good idea of what the extension will be...)

I'm looking forward to repairing my garden layout (again!) and running it this summer.  I'm also planning to get my daughters' bedroom finished so I can move my son back into his room, and I can have my train room back!  Then I can add the next sections to my layout, and perhaps have the mainline in place by this time next year.

At some point I need to start thinking about the next layout. I miss not having one. A smaller task I want to do is bash/scratch build a modern reefer. The research is all done and I have a plan of attack in mind, I'd like to give that a try.

My main goal is to finish my LV bridge project and close in the last 4' gap in my trackwork.

1) Finish up a certain decal artwork project.
2) learn how to use an airbrush
3) Finish my N&W Z1b
4) finish at least six of my hi-nose conversions.
5) finalize track plan and get all track laid on my layout
6) travel to the Pokey

These are only my RR'ing related goals.

Theres quite a bit that I would like to get done this year.

1. Repaint and rewire speeder.
2. Install ditch lights, and high nose mounted headlights on speeder.
3. Complete all basic benchwork, subroadbed, upper and lower fascia boards for layout so entire room is presentable.
4. Install main line trackage from the westend staging yard to the city of Amoskeag allowing for operation.
5. Finish the pilot model for PTM for N and HO scales on arrival of the new cutters in the next month.
I WANNA SEE THE BOAT MOVIE!

-scenery module, probably a grain elevator
-a light, durable and very portable switching layout
-start detailing engines
-in general, setting aside more time for model railroading

I'd love to build my SD50F, SD60F and SD40-2F shells that are neatly stored in my closet.
I'd love to start building some CN SD40's from the pile of Kato cores I have stored, again, in my closet.
I'd love to start building some CN GP40-2L's from the pile of Atlas cores I have stored, once more, in my closet.
I'd love to start converting some Kato SD40-2's to CP units. Yes, stored in my closet.
I'd love to start detailing some CN & CP Life-Like chopnose GP9's. Stored in my closet? Nope... they are on display in my bookcase.

I'll likely just buy more stuff to store in the cloest for someday when I have space for a workbench, time to do anything other than work, and courage to start. Heck, if I wait long enough, some of this stuff might be available RTR  ;)

Fix the boat.
Fix the other boat.
Build a model railroad in boat #1.
Take boat #1 out for a day and realize that model railroads don't work in boats.
Get mad at ocean.
Not go out on ocean again for a few months.

My goals:

1) Design a bunch of stuff for a multitude of customers.

2) Photograph, measure, and nit-pick said stuff, ensuring my customers have the best design I can give them.

3) Relocate existing water heater, add secondary lowboy water heater under stairs.

4)  Relocate plumbing so it doesn't sit over proposed layout, insulate hot water side.
4a) Remove extraneous plumbing that previous owners had a field day with.

5) Remove pressure tank, pump and piping for the old well system the house once had.

6) Relocate/rebuild existing wall and door in basement, moving it over ~4 feet.
6a) Build wall across to make a closest and provide uncluttered access to electrical panel.

7) Remove all HVAC ducting.

8)   Relocate other existing wall by the stairwell forward ~2' into existing finished room.
8a) Build wall/2doors to allow access to layout room/basement from stairwell without going through finished room.

9)  Build another wall/door to close of finished room, making it separate from layout/basement/washroom/stairwell.
9b) Lock teenage son in finished room until he turns 18.

10) Install auxilary heat pump over existing modern oil furnace, rebuild all HVAC ducting with products made this century.

Say away from the god damned Honeywell aquastats.......2 on my brand new furnace just STB on me. Oh and a circulator from them also >:(
