Modified Kato Truss Bridge

Following Ed Nadolski's example, I use Andy Reichert's Proto87 exact-scale spikes (.010" diameter shank) to secure ME code 40 guardrails to the deck of a Kato through truss bridge.

All spike holes were pre-drilled with a #85(.011") drill bit and spikes carfully inserted. Rail was then slid into place, and spikes pusheddown into final holding position.

Photos of the finished installation below. Look very closely and see if you can find the spikes!

The spikes hold very snugly without the aid of glue. Also, thereis no problem with wheels of any type hitting spike heads.

I installed my bridge track and guardrail with Krazy glue... looks and works fine!  Leave it to Ed to over-engineer a project! ;D
