John,
I'll see your Harpers Ferry, and raise you one!

And I'll throw in a Hagerstown for good measure...

Note the late, lamented Rocket in the foreground.  Geez was I missin' that sunroof today!

You`ll never find a Philly cheese steak on a menu in Philadelphia. It`s called a cheesesteak and we all know where it`s from...

Doesn't look like much of a "storm," just a peaceful snowy day. Snowstorm up here means lots of snow coming down really quick, plus strong wind. Without the wind, even the heaviest snow is just nice and peaceful, although it still builds up on the roads a bit. I've played ice hockey on the pond before on a day where the temp was maybe just a little below 0 C, heavy snow with nice big fluffy flakes and no wind at all. Also railfanned at night in the snow, temp was 0C, no wind, and each train had this huge bright area around it as it approached from the reflections off the snowflakes. Plus we hit that junction when there was 3 or 4 trains coming through in half an hour, so that was a beautiful night. Peaceful, not too cold, and lots of trains in a short period.

Chris,
I agree. I`m from Pennsylvania, so I was one of the only ones out driving around. 3 inches snow down here causes mayhem, and if you get a little ice, forget about it. Everything stops and the news people tell you to stay home. A major snowstorm here wouldnt delay school where I grew up ...
