It is set to one start and I didn't change that.

I don't think I understand what all the terms are. I want 5mm dia. so I set "width" as 5, but down further it says:

Lead Angle Worm lead angle (For final worm diameter, see also number of starts.)

Worm Starts Number of starts (For final worm diameter, see also lead angle.)

So how do I set the worm dia?

Also says "bore" and "worm bore" ?  Tooth number vs. length?

The preview image of the worm never changes in size as I change the size. (not sure if it's supposed to or not).

I just need to space a motor away from something by making the worm larger. So I wanted to use this tool to figure out exactly what dia worm I need. Current worm is 3.45mm dia. So for starters I was going to try 5mm.

Would be neat to be able to import a json file of settings such that if someone created a file called "N_atlasGP38.json" (for example) you could import and have the gear types and settings available do a replacement part.  Pipe dream, but it would be a cool feature.  With that, you'd also need to be able to export I suppose.  Just thinking out loud.  :D

I tried this again today and got it to work. Not as a stand alone worm, but if I select "worm gear pair" it works. I end up with a worm gear I don't need, but get the worm I do need. And this way as a change the settings the render on the page changes to match.
