Question, i wonder if the mirco train coupler conversion chart is not up to date. Question what coupler would be use on a Life like/ Walters gp60. Not the couplers 1015 i am not real good at putting the coupler together. Thank you.

1015-1 is the factory assembled coupler

The alternative is the Accumate couplers that Atlas uses.

Do you have a part number.  I did read that Atlas bought Life Like and Walther engines. Altas has not the GP60 back out yet.

Atlas has rerun the GP60, new sound equipped chassis and ditch lights where applicable . March 2020

I recommend the Micro-Trains assembly jig if you plan on installing a lot of couplers.  It makes the job of holding all of the parts while you put the lid on a lot easier.
You can also make your own jig with a piece of "C" channel and a steel pin.  The spring loaded plunger on the M-T unit really isn't necessary - I removed the plunger on mine.

I have found the plunger to be useful for holding things in place when working on 1025's.  But otherwise, it has often been a small parts catapult.

Also needed (for me, anyway) to assemble a lot of couplers- a desktop magnifier or an opti-visor.  And a mouth guard, so I don't grind my teeth while trying to get the springs in place.

I made a 1015 assembly jig by making a slot in the end of some scrap wood and driving in a headless brad at the right place to hold the coupler box.

Drop the bottom of the box over the brad, put the two pieces into the box over the brad with the "hose" in the slot, pop in the spring in on the end of a jeweler's screwdriver, snap on the lid.

I've been using it since we had to join the box with a soldering iron...
