Ender 3 extruder issue

Good morning all - Looking to see if this makes any sense to any of you?  on my Creality Ender 3 V1 I can extrude manually using "move" function  but when printing a file the extruder vibrates ever so slightly but does actually rotate to feed the filament but again works fine when going through the ' prepare - X,Y,Z, extrude funtions" the extruded filament comes out beautifully.  OK so logically thinking that is simple enough - must be bad G code so I brought the SD card to my work printer which is a Creality Ender 3 V2 and it prints fine.  I'm using Cura as my slicer.  Do I have a mother board issue on the V1?

Thanks
Mario

See if you can increase the feed rate for your manual move tests.  I wonder if it's okay at slow speeds but doing feeds at speed may trip it up.  Check your extruder gears if you can to see if they're worn out or gunked up?
