Rough draft of the Kawasaki bi-levels MBTA ordered in the 90's. I found an HO modeler who enjoys sketching up odd north American passenger equipment and she is working on making these a reality for me. MBB cars might be next. After 20 years of waiting, I may finally have a full MBTA commuter inventory!
American eyes, American eyes
View the world from American eyes
Bury the past, rob us blind
And leave nothing behind

That's an awesome news Daniel!  I bought some of the 3D printed ones from Island Modelworks, but unlike the sample prints he had displayed at the Springfield show (which were very nice), the ones I received were really poorly done. The surface was sticky (probably not rinsed properly after printing, and they warped really badly.  The floors are like bananas and the body sides are severely bowed out.

Did the designer get a hold of official drawings (which I was not able to acquire) or he based the model strictly on photos?  If she could also print the unusual trucks, that would be a cat's meow!  I wouldn't   mind getting half a dozen myself.

Iain, the  red line is a subway in Boston. These are the purple line commuter trains going to the suburbs farther out than subways.

Oops!  Since my laptop was within reach of me standing in the corner, I corrected the mistake (I was so excited to read about this development that yes, I was not as thorough reading the rest of info).   Awaiting permission to leave the corner.  :|

Yes Sir, right away Sir!  Done!  Press ups are no longer as easy as they were 30 years ago. Still struggling on the 15th one.  ;)
