Great exhibition, as always, with stunning layouts and too many temptations to add to my Z scale stash.

Nice video.  There are some really nice layouts there.  Especially noted that a lot are using photo backdrops now and they are doing them very effectively.

Thank you for sharing this awesome video! Such a wonderful collection of Z scale trains, and I think there may have been a few with onboard sound too. Very cool layouts with lots of intricate details and excellent presentation. I am curious about Z scale and how I could model North American railroads like CN, CP, etc and incorporate sound decoders if practical. Thank you once again for this great video!

Atlas makes a line of nice North American profile track, albeit the rail is a bit thick, and AZL (as well as Atlas and MTL) offer tons of rolling stock option for Canadian roads.  I can't tell you about sound decoders but I'm going to use a Kato Sound Box on my small layout.

I’ve been closely looking at Z lately. Although I don’t know if my questions are making me any friends on the AZL forum.


Lots of new North American locos and passenger and freight rolling stock in the pipe at AZL. Mostly leaning towards modern era. I’m very curious what Atlas will be doing in the future with locos and rolling stock too, and expanding its track line. Some 3d printed stuff making its way out too. But the number of modelers taking the modeling aspect seriously is pretty limited right now, IMO.


With my space situation shrinking, I’m considering it a seriously viable option.

Z is a perfectly viable option for quality modeling.  I'm finding that is is a bit of a different mindset and set of expectations and rewards.  But that is of course true of any difference in scales.
