;)     Remember, Main Unit of the UP 80 soon renumbered 8080 was from a Great Northern Giant Y1 electric locomotive that was cut down and the tender from if I recall a Big Boy. I know you 3D printing guys who are printing the locomotive know this. Nate Goodman (Nato.)

Hey CRudeME

any status update on this?  Ive asked by a few fellows to design this and started looking into interest and resource materials.  This post popped up.  I wont step on any toes as you are likely far more along lol

As @C855B mentioned, I am in fact in the middle of a 3D printed coal fired turbine. We have the turbine shell about 90% complete, and just last weekend we ordered parts for a custom tender with power pick-ups. It has been nearly a 3-year project, but we plan to have an operating model this year!

The Scaletrains email that I got today mentioned that next week there will be 150 new announcements.
I find the timing of the resurrection of this thread to possibly be prophetic....

Hey everybody! @Baldylox I sent you a message on Facebook.
At the end of 2022, we got a running prototype on the modified centipede chassis after that, we decided to scrap that approach and do a frame up redesign. One of my fellow MVNS club members have been working on it off and on the last few years. Talked to him and sounds like you two are in touch!
