Hey everyone, just felt like Bragging, but my 1948 "City of New Orleans" is complete.....well kinda. In this shot, there is 2 stand in cars, but I have both cars comming, both from Lowell Smith. The NP Baggage is going to be replaced by a Baggage from Lowell, its in the mail now, and the CP coach is a stand in for the Baggage/Dorm, That is also comming from Lowell Smith, I have it on pre ordered, along with one for my NCL, he says they should be here Q4 this year.

Im excited, this is a Gorgeous train, and with how strait forward it was to model, I can believe its not modeled more.

The consist:
• E7A (Life-like, plastic frame, stump pullers)
• E7B (Life-like, plastic frame, stump pullers)
• E7A (Life-like, plastic frame, stump pullers)
• 85' RPO & mail storage (Kato)
• 64' hwt mail storage (Wheels of Time)
• 72' baggage (Kato)
• 72' baggage (NP stand in, actual car is Lowell Smith)
• 85' baggage (Con-cor)
• Baggage dormitory or 18 roomette (CP stand in, actual car is Lowell Smith preorder)
• Employee/retiree coach  (Micro Trains)
• Coach (Lowell Smith)
• Coach (Lowell Smith)
• Lunch counter lounge (Lowell Smith)
• Coach (walthers)
• Coach (walthers)
• Coach (Lowell Smith)
• Coach (Lowell Smith)
• Dining car (Con-Cor)
• Coach (Lowell Smith)
• Coach (Lowell Smith)
• Coach (Kato)
• Coach (Con-Cor)
• Observation tavern (Con-Cor)

Although the contest is complete, I am still on the lookout for cars as I would like to change The Con-Cor stuff with a little higher quality cars, but to be honest if it doesn't happen, I don't have my feelings hurt. The Con-Cor cars aren't that bad. I'm just excited to have the contest pretty well completed. Now just to wait for my club, Mount Rainier N scalers, to finish our Passenger Terminal so I have somewhere to run it.

EDIT: fixed grammar and spelling. Stupid voice to text is gonna be the death of me someday.

I've seen GN trains with other-road baggage cars, so the NP car may not be unreasonable.

A good song, but I suspect the train had more riders, and mail, in 1948!

NICE!

It's been awhile since we had an addition to the Passenger Train Index, but I've added this thread.
