Milwaukee road Erie-built paint question

Hey everyone, I know we are mostly east coast modelers here, but Im hoping to pick out Milwaukee Road peoples brains, and get the right answer.

Im going to be custom painting some Milwaukee Erie-builts from KCS to Milwaukee, and I noticed 3 distinct paint schemes.
Grey top:

Cigar band:

And Armor Yellow:

The Hiawatha I am modeling is 1950, and I dont want armor yellow. The cigar band will be a lot easier, and match the consist better, but I dont know when they started this one. So I guess the question is, what dates for what paint schemes?

I'll have to double check later, but I believe the cigar band scheme began in 1953-54.
