More of these types of paint seem to be offered to the modelers. There are ongoing discussions about all the various "chrome" paints or coatings on automotive model forums.  Most of them look great but quickly dull when handled, and adding a clear coat will also turn them into plain silver paint.

That is a problem when using it on bumpers or trim on a 1:24 scale model car, but I guess when used on a 1:160 model which will be placed on a layout and never handled again, the fragility of the "chrome" coating is not much of an issue. 

This paint comes with its own clear. I didn't use it and I have handled and rubbed the spoon a lot and it looks as shiny as when I painted it.  I think it would be fine for our use.

Also touched up my erzatz WM K2.  Graphite paint on the smokebox and firebox.



Now she's ready to pull train 34 to Elkins!

Finally got around to working on one of @samusi01 42000 series DODX flat cars. It was painted using TruColors TTX yellow and K4 decals for the decals. I still need to add a few detail parts and the numbers but otherwise the car is nearly ready for service. I plan to use some Npossible Medium shanks for the couplers and the car also features brass handrails.

Man, that Tru-Color Paint really really doesn't hide the details does it?   I'm convinced it's the best paint for models out there and maybe the best there ever was.  Yeah, it's a bit tricky to get it thinned right and the air pressure where it should be, but after the paint settles and cures for a few minutes...it's the best I've ever used.

Wrapped up the Relco vegetation spray train. Thanks to @Baldylox for designing this train! My last touches were wiring the ditch lights and strobes on the loco.

CSX road mate #2315 in the paint shop.  I'll pair it with CSX GP40-2 #6900, as they were paired together when they were repainted into the new YN3 colors in mid 2009

Cool idea for the shell holders for painting.  Hopefully I remember that, I got a lot of those brushes I'll probably never use.

That's a lot of sanding. 

I got this off of eBay, someone else did a lot of sanding.  Paint and decal were not very good, so I stripped back down to bare plastic.  I filled in the roof fans better than they were and did some additional sanding.  Worse thing is they sanded ALL the doors off both sides.  This unit should have the rear most doors in tact.
